Sheriff & The Ravels "Shombalor" (Vee-Jay VJ 306)
Recorded in late 1958 and released in February 1959, "Shombolar" was the only record to feature Elmore Sheriff, and he was only on one side of the disc. The b-side was credited to The Ravels. This truly original sonic event didn't find an audience in '59, but The Cramps and Peter Stampfel are among its admirers and have recorded cover versions.
