Tech talk: Toward large-scale 3D printing of engineering materials: PBT powder sintering
DSM is developing a materials platform for Powder Based additive manufacturing processes. The first member of this material family, based on proprietary technology is commercially available: PBT for Selective Laser Sintering and High Speed Sintering. This materials opens up opportunities for applications that require real engineering materials and offers designers and manufacturers the possibility to 3D print applications that were not possible before. Combined with DSM's leading engineering materials - including widely used polymers - OEMs now have an solution for large-scale 3D printing of performance applications.
