Deeply Cut Baby Seal Rescued [Graphic]

Even the smallest piece of fishing line can cause major damage to an animal. Antoine and Naude from Ocean Conservation Namibia (OCN) were shocked when they caught this little seal pup. We assume he had found this piece of fishing line a few months ago, and as the little pup grew older, the fishing line tightened around his neck. He would not have had much time left.
The wound did not look good. Unfortunately we do not have a seal rehab station in Namibia, and all we could do for this little guy was cutting him lose and send him back to his friends. The other seals welcomed him back into the group and immediately started sniffing him.
