The first lake effect snow event for northeast Ohio is taking place tonight and will last through early Wednesday. Snow has greatly reduced visibility on i-90 and is accumulating on the road surface. Traffic along i-90 from Cleveland to the Pennsylvania state line is starting to slow down as the snow continues this evening into the overnight. Accumulations could top 6 inches in some locations. Although this is not a major event, it is most certainly a notable first snow for the area - on Halloween night. A winter weather advisory remains active across the area through Wednesday.
