Nothing Comes Easy! Metal Detecting With Military Accent, Rain & Hidden Relics!

Difficult relic hunt in an area used by U.S. troops for military purposes. The forest looked very nice, but it was “cleaned out” already with some trash left behind. I did all I could and came across a few finds eventually, but it wasn’t easy.

I found 1700’s buttons, coins and two wind caps from old tobacco pipes among other relics, which in the end could be considered as a big success. It was dark, windy and started raining, but I was “prepared”. Too bad I moved to a more promising patch of the woods that late. Maybe I will re-visit the spot some day…
