Using AutoSum:
Select the Cell for the Result:
Click the cell where you want the sum to appear.
Use the AutoSum Button:
On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click the AutoSum button (∑ symbol). Excel will automatically detect the adjacent cells to sum (usually a range of numbers above or to the left).
Press Enter:
After selecting the range, press Enter. The sum will be calculated and displayed in the selected cell.
Keyboard Shortcut:
You can also use the shortcut Alt + = to activate the AutoSum function quickly.
Custom Range for AutoSum:
If Excel doesn’t select the correct range, you can manually select the cells:
Click the AutoSum button or press Alt + =.
Highlight the cells you want to sum.
Press Enter.
