"Atheism is Just Another Religion" | Dumb Things People Say to Atheists, Part 15

This sounds like perhaps the dumbest of all the dumb things people might say to atheists, as it seems to be trying to force two incompatible and indeed almost opposite ideas under the same label. However, many Christians appeal to a somewhat intuitive-sounding equivalency between atheism and organized religion as conclusions about the nature of the universe that affect our behavior and our outlook on life. So is this fair? Is there any reason we can’t use the word “religion” this way to encompass both atheism and Christianity? Join me as I explore these questions - ultimately concluding that, while this attempt at dragging us down to the level of religion can seem reasonable on the surface, this is nothing more than another dumb thing people say to atheists.
