INCREDIBLE CRAB HUNTING ADVENTURE (UAE MANGROVES)

Our crab hunting adventure took place in the UAE Mangroves in the emirate of Umm Al Quwain. Flamingo Beach Resort offers crab hunting adventures every night. The crab hunting adventure package includes all the equipment you will need to crab hunt. After the crab hunt, they also prepare everything that you caught.

We arrived to at the Flamingo Beach Resort in the afternoon and had a chance to check out the resort and the beach before our crab hunt. Once the sun set, it was time for our crab hunting adventure. In order to go crab hunting, we had to first get our gear. Flamingo Beach Resort provided us with life jackets, shoes, flashlights and spears. Once we had our equipment, we headed to the pier to board our boat. It took us about 10 minutes to reach the mangroves from the resort. After our crab hunting guide found the perfect spot, we got out of the boat and into the shallow water. We walked around the area shining our lights and looking for crabs. Not only did we see crabs, but we also saw a starfish, squid, a sting ray, and a baby shark. It was quite the adventure being in the sea at night. We caught several crabs and a squid. After about an hour, we got back in the boat and headed back to the resort. Once we made it back to the pier, our guide handed over our catch to the chef at the resort's restaurant. The chef grilled our crabs and squid, and we were served everything that we caught for dinner. The food was delicious, and it was pretty amazing to think that we had caught our own dinner. This was such a unique experience and one that we highly recommend.
