Touring an ARABIAN PEARL FARM in Ras al Khaimah

Visiting the Arabian Pearl Farm, Suwaidi Pearls, was a great experience. Our tour started off with a boat ride to the mangroves. On the boat ride, we were treated to Arabic coffee and dates. We saw many birds and we even saw camels on one of the islands. Once we arrived at the pearl farm, we were given the history of pearls. This included information about pearl boats, the pearl season, pearl gear, and the divers' daily routine. We got to tour a pearling boat to see what life would have been like on the boat. We also learned about the process of culturing pearls. After learning about the pearls, we were given the chance to choose an oyster to find out if it had a pearl in it. It took four tries, but on the fouth oyster there was a pearl inside. The tour guide then displayed various types of pearls and explained the different categories. We learned so many interesting facts about peals. We definitley recommed a trip to Suwaidi Pearls.
