Flea Market Watch, You Won’t Believe THIS Hidden Gem!

Sixteen years ago, I purchased this watch at a flea market. It caught my attention because it had no hands, instead featuring a subdial at the 6 o’clock position. This subdial appeared to have two indicators, as if two hands were meant to be there—an extremely rare display that is seldom seen on watches.

The watch was clearly a chronograph, as indicated by its two pushers. Additionally, the writing "Mantagraph" further suggested that it was indeed a chronograph. Without truly knowing what to expect, I decided to buy the watch for 220 euros.

Later on, my research revealed that the movement was a chronograph by the company Enicar, equipped with a flyback function. The flyback function allows the chronograph counters to be reset to zero and restarted instantly with a single push of a button. The movement originates from a well-known manufacturer!

Master engraver Jochen Benzinger, a specialist in artistic engraving, refined the movement for me. We fitted it with a new case, dial and hands. This is the result of the work.
