What Rejection Sensitivity is #autistic #autism

I always thought rejection sensitivity would feel obvious.

For me, it showed up in a much quieter way.

Someone says, "You're really good at math," and instead of feeling proud, my brain immediately starts listing all the reasons that's not quite right. I can't do mental arithmetic to save my life. What I'm actually good at is asking questions, finding patterns, and solving problems.

It took me a long time to realize I wasn't rejecting the compliment. I was getting stuck on the details of it.

I'm curious if anyone else experiences rejection sensitivity like this.
