Dreamy Jazz Track in D major (75 bpm)

It is a sophisticated "Circle" or "Turnaround" progression, commonly found in Jazz standards and Bossa Nova. It uses chromatic passing chords to create a smooth, descending or ascending bassline.

-The Starting Sequence (ii - Passing - iii - VI):
Em7 → Edim7 → F#m7 → B7: This is a common way to prolong the movement. B7 acts as a "Secondary Dominant" (V of ii), which circles back to the Em7 in the next phrase.

-The Resolution (ii - V - I):
Em7 → A7 → Dmaj7: This is the strongest cadential movement in D Major. It defines the home key clearly.

-The Connector (Passing Diminished):
Ebdim7: This is a "Chromatic Passing Tone." It sits perfectly between Dmaj7 and the Em7 that starts the loop over (D → Eb → E). It creates a very smooth, professional-sounding transition.

Scale to use:

-D Major Scale (D Ionian): Works over the Dmaj7 and A7.

-E Dorian: Works beautifully over the Em7 sections.

-D Major Pentatonic: A safe, melodic choice for a soulful or pop-style solo over the whole progression.

Have fun ;)
