Watch: Waters gush through homes, airport flooded as Hurricane Ida brings New York to its knees
A state of emergency has been declared in New York City after remnants of Hurricane Ida triggered flash floods in the city. Social media videos show cars floating on streets, floodwaters ripping through apartments and gushing into subway stations. According to reports, at least 7 people have been killed in New York City due to the floods. A flash flood warning was issued in the city for the first time ever.
