Lever clamping modification for the mini lathes tailstock - Part 1

The next thing to improve on the mini lathes tailstock is the way it is clamped onto the machine bed. Until now it's clamped via nut and bolt which is highly impractical over time as you need the right wrench every time you use the tailstock. And often it is very difficult to reach the clamping nut hidden behind the carriage and compound slide.
I decided to install a camlock lever clamping and at first had to make a solid clamping plate which holds the tailstock from the underside against the bedways. Next I installed some bushings in the casting which holds the new parts for the clamping mechanism in place. For one operation I needed a special backwards turning tool. I asked the german supplier of AKKO-tools if they want to support my work and thankfully Fa. Lörken was so kind to sent me the desired tool. Big thanks for that!
The turning operation on the tailstock was quite thrilling due to it's mass sticking out so long out of the lathe chuck. Luckily everything went well and the backwards boring bar worked just fine.
While editing I realised, I have to split this modification into two parts as it gets too long otherwise. The second part finishing the clamping mechanism is to come soon.

Die nächste Verbesserung am Reitstock der Mini Drehmaschine betrifft die Klemmung. Ab Werk wird der Reistock mit einer Mutter und Gewindestange auf dem Maschinenbett festgeklemmt. Das ist leider höcht unpraktisch, braucht man immer einen passenden Gabelschlüssel und stößt ständig beim Klemmen irgendwo an. Ich plane eine Exzenter-Hebelklemmung. Als erstes habe ich den Klemmblock, der den Reitstock von unten gegen das Maschinenbett klemmt, neu und sehr massiv angefertigt. Dann einige Buchsen im Gussteil angebracht. Für mein gewünschtes Design war eine besondere Rückwärtsbohrstange nötig, die mir auf Anfrage dankenswerterweise die Firma Lörken GmbH als Generalimporteur für AKKO Drehwerkzeuge kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt hat. Ganz herzlichen Dank dafür!
Den Reistock im Bachenfutter zu spannen und auszudrehen war ziemlich abenteuerlich wegen der starken Unwucht und dem langen Überstand. Zum Glück hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Das nicht unbeding nachmachen.
Weil das Video sonst zu lang würde, habe ich es in zwei Teile aufgeteilt. Die Fertigstellung kommt demnächst.
Keep in mind, due to very limited resources, I have to improvise a lot and go unconvenient ways which may upset some of the "real machinists" out here.
Hope - with some creativity - in the end come to good resoults anyway.
