M8 Completion - First Drive A8 Diversion at Baillieston Junction

A drive through the A8/M8 diversion at Baillieston Interchange - part of the M8 Completion project.

The e/b A8 diversion took effect from Friday 17/02/2017 with the w/b diversion not taking effect until Saturday 18/02/2017. A8 is now diverted to the new Bargeddie roundabout on the A89. to allow completion of the 'missing link' - the join between the new M8 and the existing M8.

This video is my first drive through the works with both diversions in place - filmed Sunday morning - 19/02/2017.
