Orre Beach, Jæren, Rogaland County, Norway, claimed to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, to the relaxing sound of crashing waves, recorded on gopro hero black 9 in 5k, December 2020.

Rogaland is mainly a coastal region with fjords, beaches, and islands, the principal island being Karmøy. The vast Boknafjorden is the largest bay, with many fjords branching off from it.

History and Viking History from Wikipedia:

There are remains in Rogaland from the earliest times, such as the excavations in a cave at Viste in Randaberg (Svarthola). These include the find of a skeleton of a boy from the Stone Age. Various archeological finds stem from the following times, the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. Many crosses in Irish style have been found. Rogaland was called Rygjafylke in the Viking Age. Before Harald Fairhair and the Battle of Hafrsfjord, it was a petty kingdom. The Rugians were a tribe possibly connected with Rogaland.

Nord-Jæren has probably been one of the most important starting points for Viking voyages west to the British Isles. The reason for this is that more and more varied Irish metalwork has been found on Nord-Jæren than in any other comparable area in Europe. The Gausel Queen's grave at Gausel in Stavanger shows us the amount of rich finds we have from the Viking Age. The grave is one of Norway's richest women's graves from Viking times, with a large element of both Irish and domestic prestige objects. Only the Oseberg find is larger. It is believed that she may have been part of the family of the saga king Olaf Kvite and his father Gudrød who according to the saga were rightful heirs after the founder of the Norwegian Viking Empire in Dublin, and who ruled there in 853 to 871 AD. The manor on Gausel has also been a center of power in the Viking Age, and the rich finds from the ship graves on Gausel also show that there has been a military and political power gathered on Nord-Jæren. (Gausel is located aprox 10 miles from Orre beach).
