Hiking In The SWISS ALPS - Making DREAMS COME TRUE | Husky Squad.
Dear Husky Squad Friends! ♥️ Words can’t describe how it feels to share this video with you. 😭♥️ We made our biggest dream come true, to bring the Squad to Switzerland and take them hiking to the beautiful Swiss Alps. 🇨🇭

Before the Husky Squad came into our lives, Jc and I used to travel often. We’d hop from continent to continent exploring their terrains, their cultures, and cuisines any time we were able to get time off from our full time jobs. However, when the Squad came into our lives, we reduced our traveling because it became difficult to leave our dogs behind. Every time we’d travel oversees, we found ourselves missing them within a few hours, and we couldn’t stop talking about them especially when going on hikes. You’d hear us say: “…Yuna would LOVE looking out here…Kimahri would totally run down this mountain full speed…Tidus would eat those berries off these bushes” … and at some point we stopped traveling oversees because we just wanted to travel with our little family. We spent many years camping, hiking, road tripping, and digging deep into the great outdoors of the USA.

You see, we put a mental ceiling to our life. We told ourselves it would be impossible to cross the ocean with three large fluffy fur kids, and life became what we told ourselves it could be. We created our own limit. So instead of following our wishes and dreams, we settled for the “in-between.”

During 2018, we began the biggest road trip of our lives after Kimahri was diagnosed with cancer, and our holistic vet felt it would be great for her during her recovery. (You can watch more on this subject in this video).

We left our beloved home state, Oregon, in April 2018 with just our Jeep, a cargo storage rack, and a hitch basket and headed across the country all the way to Maine. Since then, we’ve climbed mountains in many states across the country, and found ourselves wanting to show the Squad more each day. They LOVE exploring new places so much, and we allowed ourselves to become more addicted to this spontaneous lifestyle.

At some point, paying a mortgage back home just became a costly and wasteful expense, so we sold our home (including 99% of our belongings) during the fall of 2018 so we can continue traveling with the Squad.

In November 2018, we started dreaming big … what if, just… what if, we can show the Husky Squad the mountains all over the WORLD. Why not go hiking in the SWISS ALPS with our dogs? Why don’t we focus on making it happen? Well, as many dog parents know, it’s nearly an impossible feat to fly with fur-kids. But Jc and I have pushed through so many DIFFICULT boundaries in our lives due to sheer determination. Over a cup of coffee in one of our favorite coffee shops in Southern Utah, we made the decision that there IS NO LIMIT to what we can do WITH THE HUSKY SQUAD.

With our hearts reignited with a new passion, we started the LONG process of figuring out a way to bring the Husky Squad on board and cross the Ocean together. It was the most difficult task we ever took on. We even considered crossing with a boat. We heard a 1000 “no’s” but we knew we’d only accept YES as an answer. Words can’t describe what it felt like to arrive to the airport and taking our unforgettable walk to the airplane together as a little family. Jc and I looked at each other as the five of us settled in for the long flight, and without words, it felt as if we both said: “Anything is possible. If you really want it, you’ll let nothing stand in your way.”
