Quick Mirror Frame from reclaimed and scrap materials for a kids playhouse

In this video I make a mirror frame from recycled materials. We have gone into a snap lockdown here in New Zealand, and I didn't get enough notice to get materials to make something!
No dramas though, i'd bought this flimsy plastic mirror from a $2 shop a while ago for a moment just like this. I took an old solid wood half table that was installed in my girls playhouse and took strips out of it to make the frame. I then cut down some scrap ply to make a base for it, then mitred all of the timber and dry fit it. I then glued it all together, with some school glue we luckily found in a cupboard. I was all out, and had the backup 4l of glue I was going to fill it up with (gifted to me from my father in law) has thickened up and isn't really fluid anymore! I then spray glued the mirror onto the frame and base and fitted it into the playhouse!
Don't panic about me taking one of the only benchtops from the playhouse, i've given my girls my word that i'm replacing it with something better, in a video to come soon.
This was really an excuse to do something small for my girls, whilst getting to know my new table saw and getting some practice on mitres. My lack of accuracy in the past on mitres has been something I want to do more of, and i'm stoked with how this one came out.
A few things to take away from this are; never run out of glue, store more backup timber, and more clamps required! no such thing as too many clamps.
Thanks for watching my video, any questions don't hesitate to call out.
