Anterior Pelvic Tilt? Do This ASAP | Trevor Bachmeyer | SmashweRx
Patient: hey doc, my low back hurts after driving, sitting, squatting, everything??
Doc: Of course it does, you need spinal fusion🙄.
Check this:

An anterior hip tilt is amazing - said no one ever.

The iliopsoas Complex tags the anterior lumbar vertebral bodies, the anterior ilium and the anteromedial femur. This funktastic knot of connective tissue is about as useful as a spilled Coke on a white carpet (did I say @coke 😱).

The pelvis itself gets cranked forward, which, unless you’re trying to beat Oprah in a big booty contest, is catastrophic. The discs get loaded with anterior translational shear which also overstretches the anterior longitudinal ligament.
The issue is, everyone keeps hammering the posterior chain with mobility drills and pounding the couch stretch like a hooker on @HowardStern.

When the pelvis rocks forward, three things happen:
1. The hamstrings get loaded under constant stretch.
2. The hip flexors become short and tight.
3. The biceps femoris winds up like a bow and forces a valgus knee.
Since the entire glute complex is inhibited, the primary means of ‘hip extension’ are through the erector spinae and hamstrings. Good luck with that😳.

What needs to happen is that the glutes need to be trained to recruit and engage, the hip flexors need some serious recovery and the hamstrings need to disengage.
THE FIX:
1️⃣ Couch stretch with internal rotation.
2️⃣ Short stance front step Lunge.
3️⃣ Rig upright split reach.
BOOM! Tilt is hasta la pasta! Smash you later!
