The Perfect Summer Cocktail - Blackberry Bourbon Smash

Blackberry Bourbon Smash (Makes 2 drinks)
Ingredients
4oz Bourbon
8 fresh Blackberries
1 rosemary sprig
1/2 - Of a Fresh Squeezed Lemon or Lime
1 oz - Simple Syrup (You can buy this or simply just boil equal parts sugar and water until sugar dissolves)
2 - dashes Angostura Orange Bitters
4 oz Club Soda (Options to top off Drink) this makes is a little lighter and less sweet and I think a little more refreshing.

Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker combine the Bourbon, syrup, Lemon/ Lime and blackberries. Muddle to break up the berries and rosemary.
- Add a generous amount of ice, shake to chill and combine.
- Fill an old fashioned glass ice. Strain cocktail over ice, top off with club soda. Garnish with additional black berry and lemon/ lime wedge if desired. Enjoy immediately.
