MARINATED EGGS

Following the Filipino adobo marinade plus a little touch of the Korean mayak eggs makes these eggs so extra delicious! Enjoy it with freshly cooked and still warm rice! Sarap!

INGREDIENTS:
• 6 large chicken eggs
• ½ cup soy sauce
• ¼ cup vinegar
• ¼ cup water
• ½ cup sugar
• 3 cloves garlic, chopped
• 2 stalks spring onion, thinly cut
• 2 small bay leaves
• 1 hot pepper - red or green, thinly sliced
• 1 tablespoon sesame seeds - OPTIONAL
• ¼ teaspoon fine salt*
• 1-2 tablespoons sesame oil for extra flavor and aroma

NOTES:
1. EGGS – if you prefer the more cooked yolk, extend the cooking time to 10 minutes to have fully cooked egg yolks
2. SALT – depending on the soy sauce you are using, you may want to skip adding salt to avoid being too salty marinade
3. SESAME OIL – optional but TRUST me, the ''greasy'' effect and plus the added aroma and flavor makes the marinated eggs more appetizing! I can personally skip the sesame seeds than the oil 😊
