Ube Pianono - Purple Yam Sponge Cake Roll - Swiss Roll Cake - Melt in Your Mouth Pianono

Check out my version of this very soft and easy to make Ube Pianono or Purple Yam Sponge Cake Roll that is best for dessert, snack and an all occasion food that you can serve to your guests. Great for holiday gifts or for your home baking business.

Ube Pianono or Purple Yam Sponge Cake Roll

Ingredients:
*5 large egg yolks - P35.00
*1 cup (250ml or 8 oz) fresh milk or evaporated milk or you can use 1/3 cup powdered milk then add water into it until 1 cup or 250 ml - P18.00
*2 tsps of ube flavoring - P10.00
*1/2 tsp of iodized salt
*1 tsp baking powder - P2.00
*1/2 cup (65g) cake flour - P3.00

Meringue:
*5 large eggwhites
*1/2 cup (115g) white sugar - P6.00

Buttercream Icing Filling:
*1/2 block (100g) of a salted butter - P21.50
*1/2 cup icing sugar - P12.50
*1 tsp vanilla extract - P2.00

Baking Pan Used:
16x12x1 inch jelly roll pan or baking sheet with parchment paper

Baking Time:
150⁰C for 20 to 30 minutes, turn around halfway through the baking.

Costing:
Cost of ingredients = P110.00
Overhead cost (40% of ingredients cost for elect, fare, gas, water etc) = P44.00
Total Cost: P154.00

Net Cost per recipe = P154.00 x 1.7(tubo) = P261.80
Selling price per piece: P250.00 to P260.00
