1938 Zaic Glider Revisited
A man named Albon Cowles designed this glider and Frank Zaic included it in his 1938 Yearbook. The notes on the drawing boast of 7 minute flights and "smashing into a lamp post during midnight flying". I believe the tale about the crash...
It's not too heavy and has plenty of wing area, so I should be able to get more than 25 seconds. I think those big twin rudders turn it into a Drag Bucket.
I Googled Mr. Cowles from Atlanta. There was a man by that name that died in in the early 1950's at the age of 57, so it's possible they are one and the same. Thanks, Albon, for the cool plane.
