Did Atlus Really Forget about Persona 1 and 2?

Yeah it's a funny meme. But kind of not really.

Persona 1 and the Persona 2 Duology have been largely unmentioned by Atlus. However, while a lot of people will instantly poke at the fun idea of Atlus "forgetting" about these games, I think there's a much more likely explanation for this.

Now I've never played Persona 1 or 2. I know that can make a lot of my opinions and stuff seem "invalid" or just plain incorrect. If I get information wrong I apologize, I'm not an expert.

But regardless, I think there's an actual good explanation as to why ATLUS doesn't really acknowledge these games or even really advertise them at all. Which mostly boils down to the games not being similar to Modern Persona

So yeah, these are really my assumptions if anything, as to why Persona 1 and 2 don't get the attention that P3-P5 get.
