Bomb and Bread Fishing at Raker Lakes York

With the temperatures sub zero, the rivers still in flood, and local restrictions still in force, it's getting harder to find fishable venues, luckily for me I found a half un-frozen Acorn Lake at Raker Lakes York so I decided to keep it simple head out for a few hours in the afternoon armed with bomb and bread in search of a carp.

Popped up bread fishing is a cheap and simple method, anybody with a bomb rod or feeder rod can do it but when it comes to bite detection there are a few things to be aware of with winter bomb fishing that will help you put a more fish on the bank.
