Horst Fischer, 'Air on the G String' (Johann Sebastian Bach)

Horst Fischer (1930-1986) was a German trumpeter, composer, arranger and bandleader. He is considered one of the greatest lead trumpeters of all time.

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) was a German composer, virtuoso organist, harpsichordist, music teacher, conductor and choirmaster of the late Baroque period. He is considered one of the greatest composers of all time.

'Air on the G String', commonly referred to as 'Air', is the second movement of Bach's 'Third Orchestral Suite in D, BWV 1068', and is one of the most famous pieces of baroque music.

Recorded in the album 'Golden Trumpet - Horst Fischer' (1978).
