- Cada episódio tem um script, mas os atores tinham a escolha de improvisar caso pensassem em algo mais engraçado.
Every episode was scripted, but the actors had the choice to improvise their lines if they thought of something funnier.

- A marca registrada do Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) de esfregar o nariz antes de cruzar os braços é uma referência que ele adicionou, a Robert Redford em Golpe de Mestre (1973). Robert usava isso como um sinal de Ok ou Vá em frente.
John às vezes usava a frase "O que vc disse, Bob?", que é a mesma frase que ele repetia sempre em Platoon (1986).
Dr. Cox's (John C. McGinley) trademark nose rub before crossing his arms is a reference he added, to Robert Redford in The Sting (1973). Redford used it as a sign for "It's O.K.", or "Go Ahead".
John would sometimes use the phrase "What do ya say there Bob?", which is the same phrase he repeatedly said in Platoon (1986).

The network leased and refurbished a closed hospital (North Hollywood Medical Center in the San Fernando Valley, California) for the program. The lower and upper floors of the hospital are used as other sets and production offices.
As of August 2011, the hospital was torn down.
