Storm Chasing and News from Melanie!

Exciting News to share!
First, I want to share a bit of my story. It all started as a young lass. I was born with a strong desire to look up...and capture the magic in the skies. In fact, I began dreaming of tornadoes at a very young age, even though I lived in Arizona...where we had incredible lightning and playful dust devils, but not much in the way of twisters.

Photography has always been my other passion, which is why you would find me in the darkroom developing film and photos for the yearbook back in my high school days. Over the years I've explored shooting weddings, portraits, landscapes, art, commercial work and real estate....but I always come back to the Plains, searching for that next elusive storm!

Back in the early 2000's, I graduated with my B.S. in Chemistry & Biomedical Science with additional studies in Meteorology and Photography. As soon as I was free from the confines of my desk, I began seriously chasing, photographing and filming storms. For many years, I chased with Peggy Willenberg, as "The Twister Sisters". We had an incredible journey together chasing, speaking, presenting and even ending up on National Geographic documentaries and "The Twister Sisters" reality TV Show in 2008. That was a special experience.

Now I seek out Wild Weather every season on my own. Documenting and sharing the beautiful strength of Mother Nature is truly where I find my joy. In addition to working with a variety of broadcast networks and media outlets, I also work hard to produce high quality images and videos for everyone to enjoy through social platforms. In other words, I bring tornadoes into your home...without leaving a path of destruction!
