IS PORTOFINO WORTH THE HYPE?? // Portofino & Camogli, Liguria, Italy travel vlog

Now I'm living in Italy (still can't believe I'm actually saying that, ahah!) I spend much more of my time in the non-touristy parts, especially living in a small seaside town which isn't that close to any particularly touristy area or big city. Therefore, I would like in this video to compare the popular tourist spot of Portofino to lesser-known but (in my opinion) equally beautiful and equally worthy sites of visitors! In this vlog I went with one of my good friends who I've made here, Jorunn, to explore Portofino and then the lesser-known nearby town of Camogli, which I honestly think anyone in the area who has an interest in pretty buildings, art and amazing Italian food should visit too! We watched the sunset there too and it just felt so perfect! 🌅

I know that this isn't the kind of video I usually make, as usually I'm less critical of the places I visit, but I also think it's important to be honest in order to give a real, authentic opinion of what I see and experience. Let me know if you liked it, as I may or may not make travel vlogs more like this in the future!

Disclaimer: Although this is definitely still from a very much touristy perspective I'm in no way saying that I am qualified to talk as a local 'expert' on Italy (I hope you guys know that already ahaha), I hope some of you will find this video helpful if you're thinking of visiting the Ligurian Riviera near Genoa! I've been living here for a month and a half now (I'm doing an internship/semester abroad in Italy) and I'm genuinely absolutely loving it!
