A day out in Westerfolds Park, Melbourne, seeing wild kangaroos and joeys.

Obviously we wanted to see kangaroos in Australia. In Perth I was kind of disappointed to step down from the plane without seeing them just hopping around everywhere, so it took some research. Westerfolds Park is an amazing place that you can visit on the bus, so it was great for us in our housesit in Melbourne without a car. Just look at public transport directions from where you are in Melbourne to Westerfolds Park. It's free to get in and we saw so many kangaroos, including a mother kangaroo with a Joey! It was incredible for us brits who've never seen them and so much better than paying for a zoo.
