A tribute to the pre-code work of Loretta Young (January 6, 1913 – August 12, 2000), who began acting as a child in silent films and successfully made the transition to talking pictures. Like many contract players of the time, she appeared in many films during the early 1930s, many of which dealt with frank themes that couldn't be portrayed as honestly when the Production Code was enforced. The beautiful and talented actress had a long career, spanning from 1917 to 1989. I tried to include as many of her pre-code films as I could find (and ones that were in decent condition). Al Bowlly and his Orchestra's recording of "You're My Everything" , recorded in 1932 is the song I chose for the video.

Clips from:

Loose Ankles (1930)
Big Business Girl (1931)
Platinum Blonde (1931)
They Call It Sin (1932)
