Assam expands ‘Orunodoi’ to cover 38 lakh families under new phase

The Assam government has launched Orunodoi 3.0, expanding its flagship women-centric financial aid scheme to benefit over 38 lakh families statewide.

At the official rollout in Guwahati, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma hailed it as the “largest anti-poverty initiative in Assam’s history.”

Beneficiaries will now receive ₹1,250 per month, including a ₹250 LPG subsidy, aimed at strengthening economic support for women and households across the state.
