How to make authentic abenkwan (palm nut soup) Mama's recipe |Mother's Day 2019

Tomorrow is Mother's Day and what better way to celebrate my mum?! I made this video last week and was going to save it for later. Watching it today, I realised I kept singing my mum's praise and so it is perfect for the occasion. My siblings and I were blessed with great parents and with the recent passing of my dad, we feel even more blessed for the gift of Mama. One day, I will tell you more about her. She made sure hardwork and discipline was inculcated in us. We've never lived or visited anywhere that our absence is not felt. She's a heck of a cook and my passion for cooking comes from her. Every day is Mother's day when you have a mum like her. This is how she taught us to make abenkwan that is sure to please everyone we serve it to. I hope you enjoy!
Ingredients
2 lb palm pulp (kernels removed)
2 medium sized tomatoes
1 aridan fruit (pr3k3s3)
6 small snails
3 meduim sized blue crabs
2 lb mixed oxtail and cow foot
2 peices smoked mackerel
1 half smoked salmon head
ginger root 95 grams
4 habaneros
1 teaspoon aniseed
220 grams red onion
270 grams shallots
some sun dried mushrooms
1\2 lb smoked turkey wings
2 teaspoons salt (or to taste)
