"After years of working together on videos remotely, many trips overseas and being constantly hindered by the impossible “2020 era” it is an honour to have the Van Halen News Desk, who have supported us countless times over the years, premiere our self-titled LP album in this brilliant article. Today with great pride and satisfaction, we unleash onto the world, “Deraps”.

Available on Vinyl, CD, Digital & Streaming worldwide, “Deraps” is an artistic labour of passion, obsession, determination and blood, sweat and tears, completed remotely in the impossible era of the last two years by myself and Jacob Deraps. The 11 track album (featuring a reimagining of The Sweets “Ballroom Blitz”) is essentially the work of a two man army, with Jacob and I writing, performing, arranging, engineering and producing the album & myself mixing the album (with Jacobs input), save for the mastering which was done by Richard Addison.

We created this album with the singular goal of delivering an authentic, “good-time”, organic, classic rock n’ roll album to an era severely lacking in it. Rock n roll with colourful vocals, catchy hooks, melodic playing, sexy grooves, classic harmonies, organic production, nuclear tone and ferocious licks influenced by all the great bands of the 70s and 80s. An album where the two of us can truly shine, 200% in our element, making the music we love, unadulterated, straight from the heart and soul. Rock N Roll non GMO.

I’d like to thank our bandmate William “The Chance”, Vann Delorey for co-writing “Live Fast Die Slow” & “On My Mind”, Jesse Bradman co-writing “My Side of Town”, Elizabeth Pare for her artwork, Jacob’s manager and Metalville Records for their assistance, Samuel Morin-Paquet for his photos & footage, Jordan Dalton for his “Veins of My Heart” Perth city shot, my mum, dad & bro Luke for cramming into the bathroom to record claps for “Make Ya Groove”, my sister Em for not beheading me and putting up with mixes on repeat in the adjoining room over the years, my girlfriend Bronte for assisting in video shoots, Will Bernard for summoning taxies, Frank for being drunk and my late dog Max for interrupting my adlib session of “My Side of Town” with his bark (listen out in the solo) and keeping my mixing rages in lockdown in the bush at bay with his loveable goofiness 🤣

I can’t go without also thanking my Mum & Dad for without whose A class raising and constant support, I would not have the tools of determination, drive and persistence to finish this monolith of a task... “jobs not worth doing unless it’s done properly” 🤣. Also an enormous thanks to Pierre, Isabelle, Marjo & Bob for all your support and taking me under your wings in Quebec, your support means the world, as do all our friends, family and all my other bandmates that have helped me on this path and to our diehard fans all over the world! We love you and the moment you’ve been insanely patient for has finally come!

Jacob man, we actually did it without killing each other or ourselves 🤣🤣🤣, our baby is now out in the world on it’s own! 😂
