Performing Stevie Wrights "Evie" live at The Prince of Wales, Bunbury with Chris Gibbs Band 27th November 2021.

Always a fun Aussie rock song to play, you'll catch me screwing with Craig (bassist & huge Rush fan) in the post solo section with some familiar drum fills. It's so hard to resist fully transitioning into Tom Sawyer when the chord progression and feel is so close! For all the foreigners who might not know who Stevie Wright is, Stevie originally sung for what was essentially the Australian Beatles, The Easybeats. Those of you who may have heard that name in AC/DC lore will know that George Young, brother of Malcolm & Angus Young, was the rhythm guitarist of that band. He would then go onto produce AC/DC's first bunch of albums before Mutt Lange came along!

Chris (Guitar/Vocals), Craig (Bass/BV's) and I have performed countless shows together since 2014, and it's always a pleasure to get the call to gig with them! This is a lineup that sometimes goes a year without playing together and we're able to pick it up as if it was yesterday. Never rehearsed for, adaptable for so many different scenarios and plenty of times songs have been called out that I haven't even heard before and somehow we've never managed to train-wreck a song yet!
