Fully Restored Starrett Vise |Overview| For Joel Dozer Buschmann @OVERKILLRACINGANDCHASSIS

We will quickly walk through a BEAUTIFUL Fully Restored Starrett NO. 324-1/2 Bench Vise Restoration Overview and we will be talking with Alex Brown @Cavemanwelder and Joel @OVERKILLRACINGANDCHASSIS about the process of how Joel Reached out to Alex to restore a Starrett No. 324-1/2 Bench Vise to absolute perfection. It is quite impressive seeing something with so much attention to detail and precision put into it with just a couple of hands and Manual Milling machines. Alex Brown continues to push me to keep stepping my level up in welding and fabrication as well as machining constantly and I can't say it enough.. This dude is the real deal.

Alex @Cavemanwelder is an extremely talented Jack of all trades.. Manual Machining, Welding (ALL PROCESSES), Fabrication and just in general a QUALITY craftsman and at the top of his game in this industry. It was an absolute pleasure talking shop with Alex Brown and Joel and seeing the reaction of on Joel's face when Alex drove over 700 miles to hand deliver this vise to Joel for his birthday. Fully Restored isn't even a good term for what this Starrett Vise has been through.. Recreation, resurrection? Absolute Restoration Overhaul!? This Combination Vise has had everything done to it that that could possibly occur and it was done with absolute precision.

Joel @overkillracingandchassis has a ton of experience in Welding and Fabrication and is one of the most talented guys I've ever met..He does a lot of 3D CAD modeling in Solid works and runs CNC plasma tube Notchers, Cnc Press brakes and CNC Tube benders.. His shop is outfitted to build absolutely impressive Monster truck chassis as well as soooo much MORE!

Not only has this Combination / Pipe Vise been gone through from top to bottom but Alex has also made an entire army of Vise Jaws to go with it.. Brass Jaws, Hardened Serrated Vise jaws, Delrin, copper and aluminum.. you name it. This Starrett Bench Vise is ready for battle and it will do it in style. The attention to detail in each one of these Components that has been brought back from the dead is so impressive, the video.. pictures.. none of it can truly give it justice.

Manual Milling is an absolute art and is so satisfying to watch after doing so much CNC machining lately. Don't get me wrong, I love telling robots what to do but Manual Machine work has a special ring to it. The Machining and Restoration work on this Starrett Vise took Alex 150+ hours to fully complete and Every piece is as close to perfection as it can get.
