Mixolydian is one easy way to merge major and minor pentatonic and can give your blues guitar licks a real sweetness.

In this lesson, I take you through the Mixolydian scale in a blues context, focusing on 1 chord phrasing to begin.

We look at the most important tones in the scale, how to use them and how to "colour" them melodically.

Finally, we extend the pattern to cover a wider area of the neck and practice moving between positions smoothly.
