When Women Used The Auto To Get Away From Men

I have been presenting photographs from my collection to my subscribers on the community pulldown menu since this pandemic began and so many of us were/are stuck at home. This is an extraordinary time in the history of America and possibly other countries as well. 1st came the Kodak, the Brownie, and the chance for ordinary citizens to capture moments in their lives (no need for a professional). Then came the car and combined, I found that so many groups of women began outings, without men, to just have fun, express themselves, and key to the experience, capture it in photographs. Many made photo albums and they are now very collectible. Rarely do I see one on eBay any more but for years, these wonderful albums which give a sense of what these women were experiencing and how much provocative fun they were having, relatively inexpensive. I bought as many as I could afford. Whether or not you support women's rights and the current directions women around the world are taking for equality and freedom, this moment in history should be marked as a relevant step towards freedom provoked by technology–the automobile, the Kodak, and a strong desire to be together and let loose.
