Jewish Mixology with Jhos: The Tu B'Av-Inspired "Roses on the Rocks" Cocktail | JCCSF
Love is in the air and delicious drinks are in our glasses!
Our resident Maggid and mixologist Jhos shows you how to concoct his delicious, Tu B'Av-inspired cocktail, the "Roses on the Rocks".
🌹 INGREDIENTS
3 oz raspberry/strawberry infused gin or vodka (I used Hedrick’s Midsummer Nights Gin, very floral)
1.5oz 1:1 simple syrup
1.5oz Fresh lime or lemon juice
Garnish: Very thin Strawberry, peach, or Orange slices
Ice
🧊 CREATE
Combine all wet ingredients in a shaker.
Set up 2 serving glasses with garnish pressed onto the inside of the glass. Add ice to hold garnish in place.
Add ice to wet ingredients in shaker and shake until very cold.
Strain into glasses. Put all ingredients except garnish in a beaker or mixing glass in the order listed.
Stir until very cold (about 50 swirls)
Pour through a strainer into a large coupe, or two smaller coupes.
Squeeze lemon peel, skin side down, over the surface of the drink. Drop the peel in the drink. Take a big sniff, then a small sip, and marvel at the complexity of this cocktail.
