It is beautiful and terrifying to stand
At the edge of this great unknowning
To feel the emptiness of stars and sky
Breathing in your heart

Every time you reach out to touch it
Its magic disappears
Yet in the stillness
You hold it like a star seed within the moist womb of earth
New born waiting...

Here something begins to tremble
Tender threads of connectivity
Awaken an ancient giant
Your bones remember the call of the mountains
Rivers enter your blood as in some joyful reunion
Fire invites your lost dreams to dance
And in your breath sings the forgotten song

It is beautiful and terrifying to stand
At the edge of this great unknowning
To feel the emptiness of stars and sky
