EP23: Sensational Shark Bay | Denham, Francois Peron National Park, Monkey Mia | Lap of Australia

This week we make our way to sensational Shark Bay, our first stop in Denham where we explore the mind-blowing colours of the Francois Peron National Park. We deflate our tyres and head straight to Cape Peron, the furthest point in the National Park and could not believe our eyes at the contrasting red sands and turquoise blue waters, filled with dolphins and whales.

We take the long and corrugated road out to Steep Point, mainland Australia’s most westerly point, it was a 4-hour drive there and a 4-hour drive back for only a short 30min visit, but worth it! We visit Ocean Park Aquarium and marvel at stunning Shell Beach.

The last 4 days of the week we spend relaxing at beautiful Monkey Mia, where Chris gets picked to hand feed the dolphins and we take Archie out on his first kayak trip. We end the week with a sunset wildlife cruise from Denham.

We are Hannah, Chris and dog Archie, setting off on a 12(ish) month trip around Australia - our BIG Staycation, with the whole of Australia as our backyard!
