"The Christmas Song" as sung by Johnny J. Blair "Singer at Large"

Mel Tormé and co-lyricist Robert Wells wrote this song to cool off during a blistering hot day in July. It became a mega-hit for Nat "King" Cole and is now a pop standard. I mostly ignored it until I started to perform it in assisted living homes and for special events, then I became very attached to it. It’s a masterpiece of composition and melody, and it reaches all kinds of people, to "kids from 1 to 92."
