Organic Azores- Horta - Quinta - Garden - Animals - on Pico Island Portugal - Ep 46

Hi Guys, welcome to our latest vlog episode,
(Sorry for some of the wind sound, the mic gave us a bit of trouble today).

On this gorgeous sunny mid Atlantic day, we visit Hortim da Guida. This is a combination of Horta/Quinta vegetable garden. This little gem is located 2 minute drive from the village of Lajes. the area is called Ribeira do Meio.

Hortim da Guida has many varieties of vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers. She also has chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, pheasants and turkeys. All of these feathered friends contribute to the organic vegetable garden.

All of these organic goods can be purchase at the Saturday village market or ordered. Quite a few of the restaurants purchase there vegetables from this amazing place. We were also invited for a healthy Churrasco lunch. It was time well spent with tasty food and lovely company.

We also hanged at the marina and the small market on the village square, here in the 500+ year old seaside village of Lajes. We hope you enjoyed hanging out, please smash if you did.
