Real Estate Trending Topics Oct 2020: PAG-IBIG Special Housing Loan RP and Proposed AMLA Amendment

I have a new series on my Youtube channel and it's called Real Estate Trending Topics or #RealETreTs for short. Once a month, I'll be talking about the latest real estate news, latest programs, latest developments, and other trending topics because I believe that property owners, real estate investors, or real estate service practitioners should be updated so we can make more sound real estate investment decisions or we can assist our clients better.

For October's Trending Topics, I'm going to talk about PAG-IBIG's Special Housing Loan Restructuring Program which is beneficial for PAG-IBIG housing loan borrowers facing economic difficulties amid the pandemic. The other topic is the proposed amendments to the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001. AMLC wants to include real estate developers and real estate brokers in being accountable for reporting cash transactions that cost more than P 1,000,000. This is because "real estate is being used as a vehicle for money laundering."
