According to a poll from Vox and Data for Progress, a whopping 81% of voters believe that Congress should pass another stimulus package before the end of 2020.

This number is up significantly from the 67% of people polled in October that wanted another stimulus package to be approved soon.

The poll also showed that 1 in 5 Americans have struggled with rent or mortgage payments, and 75% believe that Congress should make passing another disaster relief bill with more stimulus checks their #1 priority.

I completely agree, and with such an overwhelming amount of people on the same page, I just hope that Congress can get us the stimulus funds that we desperately need right now.

Meanwhile, Shark Tank legend and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, recently made some interesting comments about his thoughts on monthly stimulus checks for millions of Americans.

He explained: “the same amount of money [spent on funding assistance programs] should be given to eligible recipients, along with the stimulus amount, paid monthly.”

Cuban stated: “My preference is and has been that we take those funds and others across the spectrum of approved programs and write those checks to the eligible population.”

He also said: “give people better control of their circumstances and have a multiplier effect to the economy.”

I couldn’t agree more with Cuban, as you can only stimulate the economy if the government gives us our much needed stimulus funds to put back into our local economies.

Finally, Nancy Pelosi recently made it clear that she will do whatever it takes for Congress to pass another stimulus bill, even if it means staying in Washington until after Christmas.

She explained that they want to have a deal: "Hopefully that December 18 date, we would like to have this done. So when we have the text and the agreement, then we will make that public, go to the floor, pass the bill, and give the Senate time before the expiration of this."

Pelosi continued: "Now, if we need more time, then we take more time, but we have to have a bill, and we cannot go home without it. I have to believe the administration and Republicans in the Senate when they say they do not want to shut down government."

She also noted: "We've been here after Christmas you know. We were here five years ago on the budget."

While I’d love for Congress to get a new stimulus package approved in the coming days, at least we know that some of our politicians are willing to put off their holiday plans to pass a disaster relief bill before 2021 begins.
