Installing Scratch Made Hot Rod Floor Pans - 1927 Model T
In this episode the Model T finally gets some floors. This was my first time making floors from scratch so be gentle in the comments. Right from the structure, the trans tunnel and the sheeting all came from lengths of raw steel. After templating the floor with poster board, I transferred it onto sheet metal then cut it out. I fit the panels and cleco’d them down, then started marking the panels for bead rolling. This was my first time really using a bead roller so I kept it simple with evenly spaced horizontal beads. It turned out pretty darn good and the floor is extremely sturdy! The old hot rod is coming along day by day.
