Why Are These Runners Only Wearing Socks in the Snow?
Some fitness enthusiasts in Finland don’t bother putting on shoes before they go outside -- they prefer wearing just socks. "This is traditional Finnish crazy stuff, I think we all agree,” said runner Pekka Parviainen. The runners say they forgo shoes for three pairs of woolen socks. According to Parviainen, the unusual practice has its benefits. “The feeling afterwards is just great. You have had a good foot massage,” he said.
