For frozen car door locks, grab some hand sanitizer and pump a little into the lock and put some on the key. Don’t use hot water, that could freeze your lock more. Potatoes and onions can be sliced and rubbed on windshields; the sugars in them will act like a nonstick spray and keep ice from bonding to the glass.
