Tropical Storm Eta is in the southeast Gulf of Mexico and has weakened some on Monday due to dry air.

It is expected to strengthen some as it moves over the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico loop current. There will be a fair amount of dry air surrounding Eta, and that should limit its intensification.
