The UNESCO Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, Derbyshire.

William Strutt F.R.S. bought St. Helen's House and Park, Derby, and made it his family home. This is where his son Edward, later Lord Belper, grew up. He would later be heavily involved with University College London, which opened in 1826.

By coincidence part of the land next to St Helen's House was sold off and in 2018 a block of apartments started to be constructed using a metal frame for the structure. Now standard practice.

William Strutt F.R.S. developed the concept of metal frame building construction at the end of the 18th century.

It started to be used in Chicago to build skyscrapers at the beginning of the 20th century and has been used worldwide ever since, including now even next door to St. Helen's House.
